Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale + TLR 2B
Actual Salary from: £31,650 – £49,084 (M1 – U3) + £5,649 (TLR 2B)

The Role
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Second in English.
We believe that every child matters and by working collaboratively we can transform lives and Build Bright Futures. Paxman Academy opened to Year 7 students in September 2019 and is a co-educational, fully comprehensive 11-16 Academy with a PAN of 180. We are a heavily oversubscribed school which is held in high regard in the community. Our recent Ofsted inspection (Feb 24) rated our school as Good.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to work with colleagues to continue to build on a vibrant and strong department. This post is suitable for an experienced professional looking to further their expertise.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Working collaboratively with the Head of Department to monitor achievement and progress across the curriculum.
* Attending and contributing to meetings in the absence of the Head of Department and passing on relevant information.
* Supporting the development of the Department Improvement Plan in line with the School Improvement Plan.
* Supporting appropriate, effective interventions implemented by departmental staff to enable students to make progress.

* The ability to teach lessons that challenge all students in English
