Bongo’s Bingo is an exciting and fast-growing events company that has taken the world by storm over the past 10 years. We now hold around 1,300 events per year across more than 40 UK and international locations. We are passionate about creating unforgettable experiences and are looking for a talented Digital Marketing Executive to help us grow our brand and maximise event attendance through innovative digital marketing strategies.
Role Overview
As a Digital Marketing Executive, you will play a key role in developing and executing digital campaigns to promote our events, engage with our audience, and drive ticket sales. This role will focus on email marketing and organic social media, but the successful applicant will also collaborate with our team across a range of other digital channels.
We offer a four-day work week and hybrid working. This means the role is based in the office for three days and remote for one day, providing flexibility while still benefiting from an engaging team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Content Creation
1. Plan, develop, and execute digital marketing campaigns.
2. Create engaging content for social media and email marketing to promote upcoming events.
3. Confidently propose out-of-the-box creative ideas for our marketing strategy and upcoming campaigns.
4. Work with our partners and venues to maximise awareness via third-party audiences.
Social Media & Community Engagement
1. Manage and grow our social media presence across various platforms (Meta, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn).
2. Develop a content calendar, schedule posts, and engage with followers to build an active community.
3. Write engaging and humorous captions for posts.
4. Work with our design and video team to create assets for social media.
5. Capture phone footage content at least once per month at a live show. This will require domestic travel and flexibility to work occasional evening hours and weekends.
Email & CRM Marketing
1. Create and execute email marketing campaigns to engage audiences and boost ticket sales.
2. Consistently craft creative and compelling copy.
3. Manage and maintain our email lists in line with GDPR requirements.
4. Segment email lists and personalise campaigns for better engagement.
5. Track open rates, click-through rates, and conversions to optimise campaigns.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
1. Monitor, analyse, and report on digital marketing performance using tools like Google Analytics.
2. Track ROI on campaigns and provide insights for continuous improvement.
3. Conduct A/B testing on email campaigns to optimise effectiveness.
Website Administration
1. Work with the Ticketing Manager to assist with general website administration and proofreading.
2. Create and analyse sales reports.
Key Skills & Experience Required
1. 3+ years of experience in digital marketing.
2. Excellent copywriting skills and the ability to develop a strong brand tone of voice.
3. Strong understanding of email marketing, particularly with Mailchimp.
4. Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools and Google Sheets.
5. Excellent communication and creative thinking skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Nice to Have
1. Experience working with email automation and creating email funnels.
2. A passion for pop culture and memes.
3. Experience working in the events industry.
4. Knowledge of UK gambling laws and regulations.
