Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break), 37.5 hour week.
* Support the site’s priorities and develop effective, pragmatic solutions to people management issues.
* Drive cultural change through the site, with a key focus on Safety and managing safely.
* Support the PGM in increasing engagement on site.
* Deliver expert HR support and systems to site.
* Coach and mentor management and supervisors in HR skills and techniques.
* Project manage key HR initiatives and projects.
To be a proactive member of the site management team, reporting to the Plant General Manager, with functional responsibility to the Business Unit HR Directors.
Accountabilities:
* Management of the employee life cycle tools and processes, discipline and grievance, absence management, recruitment and induction, performance management, employee counselling and coaching activities.
* Management and implementation of the annual Amcor processes including the Performance Management process, pay, bonus and compliance programmes.
* Manage the global engagement survey process and implement actions, driving site engagement activities.
* Manage the staff and production payrolls.
* Management and development of industrial relations activities on site including advice, negotiation, Trade Union meeting management and accurate record keeping.
* Manage and implement Amcor HR Policies in line with site agreements, local law, and corporate requirements.
* Train, develop and talent management – responsible for prioritising training needs across the site, designing training plans and championing the talent management process ensuring talented individuals are identified and development programmes created to develop and grow key people. Support development and maintenance of effective training/personnel records, including Apprenticeship development.
* Supporting the implementation and management of competency assurance frameworks.
* Deliver all necessary Human Resources planning, recruitment, and selection procedures to ensure the Company employs people of the right calibre, skills, and experience to deliver the Company objectives.
* Manage the Occupational Health Service for the business and support managers with any issues relating to employee absence management, long term illness, counselling, and any other associated issues.
* Support BU and manage the local SMETA/SEDEX audit process.
* Monthly reporting to the BU HR and local Finance team.
* Maintain HR data and systems (e.g. SuccessFactors, ADP).
Experience and Skills:
* Experience of working in a Matrix Organisation is desirable.
* Experience working in Manufacturing is essential.
* 3 years Generalist HR / Senior HR Advisor experience.
* Sound understanding of Employment Law and payroll.
* Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to build relationships and communicate at all levels.
* Planning and organisational skills.
* Team orientated.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Will challenge the status quo.
