This is a superb opportunity for an experienced Reservations Supervisor to join an exciting, dynamic, passionate and innovative team.
As an experienced Reservations Supervisor, you will be pro-active and efficient with supporting the Sales Manager with all wedding, events, conference, and bedroom reservation bookings. This is a vital role in our Sales team that requires providing quality and warm hospitality to all potential guests. You will be required to manage the bookings from the initial enquiry stage through to completion.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESERVATIONS SUPERVISOR AT THE OLDE BELL
What you'll be doing...
* Provide a high level of customer service to customers, companies and agents making bookings for bedroom reservations, weddings, conference, or events bookings.
* Contribute towards the maximisation of sales, incorporating meetings, weddings, events, and accommodation facilities.
* Provide effective administration for all bookings and to communicate these effectively to all departments within the Hotel.
* To carry out site visits of the hotel to potential customers to the standard set by the sales manager.
* Be a point of contact for customers, companies, and agents throughout the booking process.
* Input and administer all enquiries and bookings into the booking systems.
* Carry out shift duties within the sales office operating hours.
* Chase provisional bookings and update reservations when confirmations received.
* Pass any potential sales leads and new users onto the Sales Manager at the hotel.
* Follow up with any past users, to rebuild the relationship and understand the clients’ hotels future requirements.
* Previous experience in this or a similar role is desirable.
* You must have a good work ethic and be able to work in line with the Company’s standards
* Guestline/Rezlynx system experience
* To represent the Company and the Hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner at all times
* You must be able to conform to all the Rules and Regulations outlined in the Staff Contract and company policies, in addition to those established by the Sales Manager
* Handle guest inquiries and bookings via phone, email, and online platforms.
* Ensure accurate entry of reservation details in the system.
* Monitor room availability and manage overbooking situations.
* Create reservations and input via both telephone and email according to room and rate availability, ensuring that full and accurate details are obtained.
* Deal with travel agent bookings, vouchers, and credit requests, ensuring that the hotel’s policy is adhered to at all times.
* Update reservations, to input and record cancellations and amendments, making sure all bookings are accurate.
* Checking arrivals for following day.
* Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
* Analyse reservation trends and generate reports for management
