The Royal Infirmary Department of Laboratory Medicine Scottish Mycobacteria Reference Laboratory Specialist Biomedical Scientist (Band 6) HOURS: 29.7 (0.8 WTE) Applications are invited from suitably experienced and motivated individuals to fill the role of Specialist Biomedical Scientist. We are looking for HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with significant Microbiology experience that have completed their IBMS Specialist Diploma in Microbiology. Experience of working in a Containment Level 3 environment is desirable but not essential. This part time post is based in the Scottish Mycobacteria Reference Laboratory which is integrated and co-located within the NHS Lothian Mycobacteria Laboratory at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The successful candidate will contribute to the work performed by both of these laboratories. The hours for this post will be between 9-5 Monday to Friday exact hours can be discussed.
