Main Purpose of Job Leading investigations into non-conformance and customer complaints, establishing root cause and appropriate corrective actions. Perform internal and external audits of our business and sub-contract base and ensure all findings are addressed and closed out. Ensuring the calibration of all dimensional and furnace equipment on site. Ensuring that all site furnace checks are completed, including verification of Temperature Uniformity Surveys. Day-to-day customer contact for technical/quality issues. Working with Laboratory staff to ensure compliance with ISO17025 and other customer requirements. Promoting quality performance improvements throughout the organisation. Agreeing standards and establishing clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply. Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff. Ensuring that site quality documentation and training records are completed and maintained. Actively pursue cost reduction opportunities through refinement of methods and increased process capability. Use of internal non conformance database to analyse trends and liaise with the continuous improvement team to implement improvement activates. Continuous Improvement Qualifications Knowledge Experience in the application of statistical, root cause and problem solving tools and techniques e.g. SPC, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, 6 Sigma. Familiarity with UKAS, NADCAP and aerospace approvals (AS9100). Will need to become familiar with pyrometry control system. Experience Experience working alongside with internal and external auditors. Experience of alloy melting controls. Ability to organise your workload in order to meet deadlines with complete and appropriate information. IT Skills – Able to utilise Microsoft packages: Excel, Word with the ability to use in house systems e.g. TROPOS and data entry systems. Qualifications GCSE’s – A-C, including English and Maths or equivalent. An academic qualification or relevant experience within quality/ manufacturing.
