Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract, contributing to the effective management of the practice, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. We require an organised and pro-active Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner to join our busy team.
About us
Crown Medical Practice is a long-established practice in Tamworth with our main surgery based at Tamworth Health Centre and our branch surgery at Stonydelph Health Centre. We currently have a list size of just under 9000 patients. We are an accredited research practice currently taking part in several projects.
Crown Medical Practice consists of 2 GP partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 ACP/ANPs, a Specialist Paramedic Practitioner, a Pharmacist, 3 Practice Nurses, a HCA, a Nurse Associate, 2 GP Assistants and an ever expanding administration team. One of our partners is the Clinical Lead for our PCN and we work collaboratively with practices in the area to provide an excellent patient experience.
The Partners are committed to supporting all staff employed by the practice and encourage them to develop their roles through training and mentoring. Crown Medical Practice consistently achieves excellent ratings in the National Patient Survey with the majority of patients rating their overall satisfaction with the practice as good or better.

Job responsibilities
To provide consultations via telephone or face to face to our patients by taking histories, examination, investigations, including diagnostic tests. Treating patients and prescribing appropriate medication. Referring patients or providing advice, as appropriate. To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.

* Recognised Nurse Practitioner qualification at minimum of degree level or equivalent
* Working autonomously in an advanced role

* Must have either graduated from a Centre for Advancing Practice accredited MSc advanced practice programme or completed the Centre's ePortfolio (supported) Route; both pathways enable eligibility for an 'Advanced' digital badge issued by the Centre, demonstrating recognised educational and experiential preparation in advanced practice.
