We wish to appoint an experienced and knowledgeable School Business Manager (SBM) due to the retirement of our current SBM at Easter. We have planned a start date for the role of 3rd March 2025 to allow for a period of handover. The SBM is a senior, professional role within the school. Reporting directly to the Headteacher, the SBM is responsible for ensuring all non-teaching aspects of the school run efficiently and effectively. The SBM is expected to contribute significantly to the continuous improvement of the school through the management of Finance, Human Resources, Premises, Health and Safety and whole-school Administration. The attached Job Description and Person Specification gives further information of the job requirements and expectations. The role is advertised as part time - Monday to Thursday, term time only plus one week (8.00am to 4.00pm, with 30 minute lunch break). We will also consider applications from those wishing to work three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). The salary will be H8, H9 or M1 depending on qualifications and experience. The SBM attends six meetings of the full Governing Board per year as well as three meetings of the Finance, Personnel and Premises Committee. These meetings take place typically in the evening.
