About this Role
Teacher of Maths and Alternative Curriculum
Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPR/UPR (Fringe) £33,075 – £50,471
Start date: ASAP (ECTs are welcome to apply)
We are looking for an inspirational Teacher of Maths to join a successful and supportive team. The Maths department is an inventive and progressive team passionate about seeing young people succeed. Key stage 4 results have improved significantly over the past 5 years, consistently above the national average for progress and attainment. This role will include teaching functional skills to a small cohort of Year 10 pupils and supporting Year 11 small group and 1:1 intervention during the school day.
We seek an individual who can add to this already thriving team; a teacher who builds excellent relationships with students and inspires them in their learning. We offer an exceptional development programme, with support extending beyond the ECT years and welcome applications from candidates with all levels of experience.
Esher High School is an excellent performing School and is proud to be part of Enlighten Learning Trust (ELT). We aim to equip our students with the skills to grow into confident, ambitious, and responsible citizens ready to face the challenges of the adult world.
Why work for us?
We work hard to make all staff feel like they belong and can flourish. We create a bespoke induction plan for all new staff, shaped with their input based on their experience, strengths, and aims. All teachers get an additional hour every fortnight of protected PPA, totalling 6 hours for a full-time teacher. We have a culture of 1% improvements, which means no hour-long lesson observations and time wasted producing unnecessary paperwork. All staff enjoy our 2-week October half term, have access to free gym use (with shower facilities), ample onsite parking, an up-to-date 2 in 1 laptop (tablet with pen and laptop all in one), a full Microsoft Office package, and a vibrant and social staff body.
