Tewkesbury Academy is looking for a passionate and inspiring qualified Teacher of Science to join our supportive and talented team. We are a growing organization, seeking professional, ambitious individuals with a passion for transforming student learning.
Tewkesbury Academy is part of the Cabot Learning Federation and is a well-established school at the heart of the historic market town of Tewkesbury, providing education to over 1200 students aged 11-18. We are conveniently located at Junction 9 of the M5, close to the Cotswolds, the Malvern Hills, and the historic towns of Gloucester, Worcester, and Cheltenham.

We offer the opportunity to advance your career within a supportive academy environment. We provide excellent training and development opportunities within the Federation, including a full induction program for early career and experienced teachers. Training is both local and through our excellent stand-alone training facility at the CLF Institute. For teachers, the CLF Institute aims to provide a continuum of development through each career stage from initial teacher training (ITT) to leadership roles.

What we are looking for:
We seek passionate individuals who want to transform education and contribute to the development of the Cabot Learning Federation and Tewkesbury Academy. You should be experienced in planning and delivering high-quality lessons, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to embrace change and motivate students and colleagues. A well-qualified specialist holding QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree is required, along with the ability to teach Key Stage 5. We expect professionals to have excellent class management skills and high expectations of work and behavior.
Your duties will specifically include:
1. Planning outstanding lessons that meet the needs of all students while developing a high-quality program of study that includes accurate target setting.
2. Monitoring and reporting on student progress, taking appropriate action to ensure all students achieve their potential through exceptional feedback methods.
3. Meeting the needs of learners from key identified groups, including pupil premium, looked-after children, SEND, and high-attaining students.
4. Recognizing and supporting opportunities that extend beyond classroom delivery to enrich students' experiences and learning.
5. Developing your own expert practice and supporting the development of others.
