Under the direction of the High Needs Lead coordinate the annual review process for those learners with EHCP's attending How College. To build on existing networks with local schools especially special schools to improve the transition for High Needs students from school to HoW College but also from HoW College onto positive progression destinations. Provide support and liaise with students with a high need and parents to ensure the review process captures relevant feedback To promote at all times the employment, further education or independence outcomes to students at the college with a SEN, and to support high expectations. To ensure that information required for statutory assessments is completed to a high standard and forwarded to the Local Authority (s) as required. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:To become a High Needs officer in our Specialist Learning Support department, we need someone who is self-motivated and autonomous and who has excellent oral and written skills, and a sound knowledge of learners with special educational needs (SEN).
