Behaviour Mentor
Area: B29, Birmingham
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 3:30
Salary: £100 - £110 per day
Start date: ASAP
Monarch education, part of affinity workforce, are working closely with a values-based primary school to recruit a behaviour mentor to work with pupils with challenging behaviour across all year groups.
This is a full-time, long-term role, Monday to Friday to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.
They are looking for someone who has a positive outlook on life, is confident with leading small groups, is child-centred, and is always willing to go the extra mile for any children in their care and to be able to work well within a team.
Qualifications And Experience
* (Preferably) holds a level 3 teaching assistant or related qualification
* Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting that we can reference in the last 2 years
* Able to control challenging behaviour
* Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students
The school has a supportive team of staff creating a caring atmosphere around the school, with up-to-date educational technology and nearby public transport routes and onsite parking available on school site.
