ScottishPower are recruiting a Land & Estates Assistant to assist the Land and Estates Department in delivering the professional land and estate management services across the ScottishPower ManWeb (SPM) and ScottishPower Energy Networks (SPEN) businesses.
What you'll do
Reporting to the Land & Estates Manager, you'll be responsible for the management of Injurious Affection claim processes from receipt of claim through to legal completion ensuring records are maintained and kept up to date and reporting is provided in a timely manner.
You'll provide support to the wider team on Estates matters including rental and other land/property related payments, whilst assisting the department with customer enquiries and process accordingly.
* Work with financial systems (SAP & SAP RE) to make rental/other payments/invoices and raise PO's/PAO's
* Input into and update of the land management systems to ensure data is up to date
* Initiate and arrange for the payment of rents and other estate management sums to ensure adherence with landowner agreements
* Review, address and escalate as necessary to ensure compliance with required processes where appropriate
* Aid and assist Surveyors in carrying out duties
* Assist the team with all project related matters
* Provide advice as required to the business on the landowner management process and the payment of rents and other sums in adherence with landowner documents
* Co-ordinate information for and collate reports as required
* Carry out prompt and timely management of required registers and databases of information
* Communicate with landowners/customers over enquires, rental and other matters.
* Review of landowner agreements and extraction of relevant data
* Assist Department with the instruction and management of legal, land agent and other consultants
* Aid in the review and reporting of landowner title reports to ensure rights are as required for projects
What you'll bring
We're looking for candidates with knowledge of financial systems including SAP and preferably SAP RE. Those with an understanding of the Electricity industry is advantageous.
A team player, with strong verbal and written communication skills, who can clearly communicate to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, landowners, land agents and so on.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to work to tight deadlines, and use own initiative to problem solve and juggle multiple project and priorities.
You'll be able to do landowner payment calculations and interpret terms of legal agreements.
A full driving licence is required for this role.
