Hays are working in partnership with a leading Civils & Construction contractor in their recruitment for a MEICA Manager. With over 80 years' experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland, this is a great opportunity for an experienced MEICA Engineer to join their civils division.
Your new role
As a MEICA Manager, you will work across projects offering support to site teams, ensuring that the MEICA systems are designed, installed and commissioned to required standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve 3 days travel within UK and/or RoI on a weekly basis, but the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days.
Main Responsibilities:
* Managing delivery of utilities to meet programme constraints
* Managing pre-construction activities and deliverables associated with any MEICA subcontract and associated interfaces
* Ensuring coordination with other design disciplines
* Supporting excellence in health and safety standards
* Managing technical approvals to ensure compliance, acceptance and timely procurement
* Ensuring MEICA programme milestones are achieved
* Providing technical support to site teams with regard to subcontract works
* Ensuring installation standards are adhered to and compliant with contractual requirements
* Regular reporting on KPI's
* Ensuring systems are commissioned in a timely manner and in line with industry standards and project requirements
* Build and maintain relationships with supply chain
* Strong drive for continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
* Self-starter able to work within different teams across the business
* Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) or time served in any of the following;
o Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
o Instrumentation & Control Engineering
* 5+ years industry experience
* Independent working and drive for results
* Knowledge of MEICA systems
* Water/wastewater experience
* Access to a vehicle and qualified to drive
* Excellent time management
* Excellent communication skills
* Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office knowledge
