No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic volunteer to lead our safeguarding team in all matters relating to support, integration and safe working with children and adults at risk of harm.
Position: District Safeguarding Officer
As the District Safeguarding Officer, you must be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with volunteers and statutory health and social care agencies.
Due to the nature of this role, a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required.
This role has flexible volunteering hours and mainly involves some weekday evenings and very occasional weekends.
Training will be provided via the Safeguarding function.
