Project Quantity Surveyor - £10 Million Residential Apartment Project

About the Role:
Our client are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for a prestigious £10 million residential apartment development project in Rochdale. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering exceptional value for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of cost control for the project, including budget forecasting, cost reporting, and procurement.
* Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates, tendering, and contract management.
* Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and mitigating risks to the budget.
* Manage change orders, claims, and variations effectively.
* Collaborate closely with the project team, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Prepare and submit progress payment applications and reports.
* Maintain detailed project records, ensuring all financial documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential construction projects.
* Experience working on projects of £10 million or more in value.
* Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle from inception to completion.
* Excellent understanding of contract law, construction regulations, and industry standards.
* Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the project team.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification (MRICS desirable).
