Industrious Recruitment is looking for a Food Production Operator to work as part of a team of production operatives. The role involves producing high-quality products according to manufacturing specifications and food safety legislation. Responsibilities include operating packaging machines (Flowraps and Multivacs), carrying out and recording quality checks, and maintaining a safe work environment by fully complying with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
1. Simultaneously run multiple production lines (Flowraps and Multivacs) ensuring all lines meet their KPI targets (including wastage and efficiency) and inform the team leader if targets are not going to be met.
2. Ensure the smooth production flow of products throughout the process.
3. Differentiate between good quality and sub-standard products.
4. Carry out product changeovers, work as a team, and minimize downtime.
5. Report any anomalies immediately to the Team Leader or an appropriate colleague (e.g., Senior Production Operative) to ensure wastage and efficiency targets are maintained.
6. Communicate and deal with situations as they arise, in a timely manner.
7. Maintain a consistently high work ethic, allowing optimization of line speeds at all times.
8. Maintain a good standard of housekeeping to provide clean, safe working areas at all times.
9. Report any Health and Safety issues to the Team Leader or Production Manager immediately.
10. Actively drive continuous improvement in your work area by following OPS principles.
11. Carry out quality checks and CCPs according to procedures and processes, recording information on daily shift paperwork.
12. Record all checks accurately into the computer and use the AX SharePoint system.
13. Ensure that the correct paperwork is used in accordance with the correct products.
14. Work closely with the warehouse to ensure sufficient stock of film and that traceability and stock rotation procedures are followed. At the end of the run, return all stock to the warehouse, scanned and wrapped correctly.

- MUST BE AVAILABLE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
- DAYS AND NIGHTS
- 3 DAYS ON - 3 DAYS REST - 3 NIGHTS ON - REST
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
