Due to continuous growth, we are now seeking an Apprentice to join the Marine division within the Aberdeen Business Unit.
As a multi-disciplined service provider, we support local industry and infrastructure from our facility in Aberdeen with a range of unique contracting and rotating machine services, with specialist support available for the Oil and Gas, Marine and Renewables markets.
Key Responsibilities & Accountability
Your Key Responsibilities & Accountability on completion of apprenticeship include:
* Electrical support to the marine industry
* Reading and understanding scaled technical drawings and electrical schematics from marine, commercial and industrial maintenance sectors
* Installations, testing and inspections of installed circuits and components
* Power generation/management with AC and DC circuits, generator, and battery power sources
* Break downs and fault finding
Who we want…
The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Maintaining engineering at SCQF level 7. This qualification covers areas such as carrying out maintenance activities on engineering assets (parts, components, consumables, and systems associated with engineering plant and equipment) and subsequent completion of all relevant documentation and in accordance with company requirements.
The successful candidate will be required to commit to a 48-month apprenticeship with Quartzelec starting in September 2024.
The apprenticeship which will include block release study at Tullos Training campus, Aberdeen.
