Registered Branch Manager
AMG Nursing and Care Services provide support to people with a range of needs in the community.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced branch manager for our Lincoln office to compliment our existing team. We are specifically looking for an individual who can develop the current business within Lincoln as well as service a new contract that we have been awarded.
The Branch currently services over 3000 hours per week of care, so previous experience is essential.
OVERALL PURPOSE
Responsible for the operational management of a Branch in relation to the provision and development of services which delivers coherent and consistent positive outcomes for our service users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To be a registered manager responsible for ensuring continued compliance with all regulations and relevant guidelines as defined in the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009.
* Develop a market knowledge of the region including and understanding of the industry trends, competitors and client analysis.
* Work closely with your team to maintain and enhance a vibrant environment that encourages exceptional performance and strives for continuous improvement to achieve and exceed performance targets
* To identify business opportunities with key clients including the NHS and Local Authorities in order to develop the service and promote our brand
STRATEGY & PLANNING
* Using market knowledge, develop and implement the operational plan to deliver the overall strategic intentions of the Company.
* To actively collaborate with colleagues in the local commissioning groups, as well as partnership working with other hospitals within the sector & the Local Authority;
* To develop & implement best-practice systems, policies and procedures across areas of responsibility;
* To ensure that services provided deliver against key performance indicators, contractual requirements, and CQC standards;
* Carry out regular reviews to evaluate if the service provided is having a positive impact on the outcomes for clients and which promotes client confidence in service delivery;
* To prepare reports, as requested by the Directors;
SERVICE DELIVERY
* To provide leadership to a team of staff, promoting the values of the organisation and ensuring positive relationships across professional boundaries
* To operationally manage the Branch, ensuring effective and efficient use of physical and financial resources
* To work closely with the Director of Nursing to develop adult and paediatric complex care services within the region
* To work with the Operations Director to manage resource utilisation and ensure that expenditure comply with financial control totals;
* To contribute to the financial viability and future profitability of all the services offered by the Branch;
* To promote and contribute to the development of the service within a culture of change.
MANAGEMENT
* To provide clear business leadership to the Branch, ensuring that all staff are appropriately managed and developed and that they are therefore efficient, engaged, and highly motivated
* Provide leadership and direction to all direct reports and care staff, ensuring performance is managed to agreed standards by ensuring they receive appropriate supervision and appraisal;
* To develop and implement strategies for the selection, recruitment, retention of staff to maintain adequate safe staffing levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload
* To contribute to the identification of the training needs of staff and ensure provision of appropriate training is in place to meet these needs.
* To represent the Agency at external meetings with the Local Authority, CCGs, Schools and other external bodies;
* Assist in the co-ordination of change management across the Branch;\To work as part of an on call rota for emergency situations.
* To monitor staff performance and take decisions with regard to disciplinary and capability issues
* To use Information Management and Technology effectively in accordance with the policies of the Agency.
* To work in a flexible and responsive way to meet the changing needs of the service users and demands of the service and to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time; and which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post.
Hours are Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm with out of hours on call.
Salary depending on experience. Exceptional bonus structure with no upward limit.
