Our client is an established and reputable food processing company, based just outside Wrexham. They are now seeking a Production Supervisor to join them, working 45 hours per week on rotational shifts. You’ll ensure performance targets are met within the factory across the shift, that operational effectiveness is maximised and that site and company KPI’s are met, whilst delivering the highest technical and quality standards through the development of processes, systems and people. You’ll be responsible for leading the production team to ensure orders (both wholesale and retail) are completed to industry standard efficiently and safely.
This is a varied role, which will include the following duties:
* Complete KPI's on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and provide timely and accurate updates of all performance data.
* Proactively manage any changes, delays, or breakdowns in the production plan, ensuring clear and effective communication with management and the engineering team.
* Supervise production line staff to ensure efficient operations, maintaining a strong focus on quality, legal compliance, and optimal product yield.
* Oversee production processes to maximise labour efficiency, minimise absenteeism and turnover, and ensure effective holiday planning within the department.
* Make sure that the required PC checks are completed at each appropriate stage of the production process.
* Maintain a steady supply of raw materials to the production lines, minimising downtime and ensuring the timely fulfilment of retail and wholesale orders.
* Provide leadership and support for ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.
You'll have the following experience:
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Demonstrated experience in supervising or managing teams within a food production environment.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and address issues.
* Proven success in driving improvements within areas of responsibility.
* Capable of leading and motivating teams to drive continuous performance improvements.
* Proficient in data recording and computer systems.
And ideally, you'll have the some / all of the below;
* H&S Qualification
* Previous experience of food production
* A relevant Food Hygiene qualification
