This position will work primarily out of the Waldo County General Hospital office in Belfast.
Position Summary
The Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator collaborates with Nurse Managers to develop staffing schedules designed to meet anticipated patient needs, incorporating the educational and practice management needs of nursing staff and produces documentation needed to generate a payroll. Also collaborates with Charge Nurses throughout the day in order to coordinate and allocate personnel resources to meet changing patient needs.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Bachelor’s or associate degree in health-related field, business, or Human Resources Management is strongly preferred. High school diploma or GED is preferred.
License/Certifications: N/A
Experience:
* 1-2 years' recent experience working in an acute care or medical office setting is preferred.
* Basic knowledge of Labor practices regarding overtime, hours worked, and differentials among other practices.
* Differentiates the specific skills of various health care disciplines including but not limited to RN, CNA, MHT, RT, Cardiac Tech, Case Manager, and Social Worker.
* Demonstrates advanced competency with windows-based computer applications.
* Communicates strong knowledge base regarding acute care staffing models.
* Demonstrates an ability to produce information needed to generate an accurate payroll for a given pay period.
* Demonstrates advanced competency in producing reports from multiple computer applications including but not limited to Excel reports.
* Demonstrates strong organizational, communication, compensation, and interpersonal skills.
