This prestigious venue, based in Hertfordshire provides the catering & hospitality for the public as well as numerous weddings, high scale events and conferences. The role: As the General Manager, you will be Managing and supporting a core team with motivation and enthusiasm Key liaison for all clients, working with them to manage and exceed expectations Oversee and manage the operational team - driving the business and up selling where possible Responsible for labour, forecasting and spending costs in line with targets and budgets Managing staffing levels for events by planning ahead Developing and managing the client relationship as a whole What we're looking for: You, as the ideal candidate, would be An experienced General Manager with a proven background within Hospitality and Events Highly experienced in Management and Leadership - proven ability in managing large teams Successful within high quality conference and event catering Passionate on getting the best out of people and maximising commercial opportunities Strong in communication skills - able to engage and interact with a variety of people at all levels Flexible in approach to working hours/days Financially minded - have a good understanding of report writing and financial management Able to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst remaining calm and level headed Open minded with a can do, positive approach and an analytical approach to problem solving Interested?
