Priority Candidates will be considered in the first instance Agile / Wigan Life Centre South College Avenue Wigan WN1 1NJ Salary: Grade 10, 43,693 - 47,754 per annum. 37 hours per week Permanent Your role: The Major Projects Team has a substantial programme of projects to deliver over the next five years, including major highways, active travel schemes, public transport schemes, and public realm improvements. In this role you will lead on the civil engineering design and delivery of infrastructure schemes, using your design expertise and managing consultants assisting with scheme design. You will play a key part in our ambition to transform the way we deliver infrastructure, connectivity, and regeneration projects. In addition, you will be responsible for managing or collaborating with colleagues in the Project team in managing scheme finances, programmes, stakeholder management, consultation, and tracking progress of schemes, including reporting to senior managers. About you: To fulfil this role, you will need to have engineering design experience with strong project management, presentation and communication skills, coupled with experience of managing consultants and contactors and working in partnership with multiple complex organisations and stakeholders. You will have excellent decision-making skills, the ability to resolve problems, be creative, show initiative and have a good level of ICT skills.
