IAP is now seeking to add an Investment Banking Analyst to the London team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with blue-chip, global clients on a wide range of complex transactions, including sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, public and private capital markets transactions, fairness opinions and other strategic advisory mandates. The selected candidate will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to our clients and will develop their skills as a result of broad and frequent exposure to both junior and senior bankers. Our clients include traditional (re)insurance, Insurtech and Insurance Services companies, as well as financial sponsors. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for clients Prepare company marketing documents (e.g., Investor Presentations, Confidential Information Memorandums, Private Placement Memorandums, etc.) Develop valuations and creating / analysing financial models Perform research and analysis to support the creation of client materials Become an insurance industry expert by keeping up to date with the markets and the sector developments, understanding regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions to support developing advice, valuation and financing structures Interact with clients and act as an integral part of the engagement team Participate in all stages of transaction execution, from the pitch phase through closing Education, Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree required Track record of outstanding academics Proven motivation and strong work ethic Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills Consistently demonstrates ability to work as part of a cohesive team Displays clear and concise written and verbal communication skills High level of focus on work quality and attention to detail Shows problem solving and organisational skills Can perform under high pressure and tight deadlines Ability to develop financial modelling and valuation skills Excellent Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills Prior finance or investment banking experience preferable but is not a requirement for the correct candidate ACA / CFA background preferred but not a requirement Right to work in the U.K. without sponsorship required
