JOB PURPOSE
Due to several large project wins, they are looking to expand the business and are now looking for a Remedial Electrician in the South West Region of Scotland.
The ideal candidate will be willing to travel from Glasgow to Carlisle.
You will have the ability to work as part of a team to carry out Electrical Remedial Works for a range of clients.
You should possess a good working knowledge of current electrical legislation, regulations, and standards and have a proven track record of working in 24-hour operational environments.
The role requires a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good IT skills would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to produce legible, accurate, and concise reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Extensive knowledge of single and three-phase fault finding and 1st time fixes.
2. Good sound electrical knowledge for testing and installation works.
3. To carry out electrical repairs/minor works on a variety of types of LV installations.
4. To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks.
5. To liaise with the Remedials/Operations Supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programmes and reporting procedures.
6. To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
1. Electrical Installation (NVQ Level 3 / 236).
2. C&G Qualifications.
3. 18th Edition.
4. Test and Inspection 2391 Preferred.
5. Full UK driving licence.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Our client is offering a salary of £42,000 - £46,000, door to door travel + overtime.
Holidays: 30 days including Bank holidays.
Hours of Work: 45 hours a week.
Company vehicle: A suitable company car is provided for business use. A company van and fuel card is supplied.
Pension: The current level of contribution by the company is 3% of salary, with the person contributing 5%. Enrolled on the pension scheme from day one.
Healthcare: Following successful completion of the 6-month probationary period, the person will be invited to join the company health scheme.
Sickness and absence: Paid from day one SSP.
