Protocol Education is presently in the process of recruiting trainee/unqualified teaching assistants for roles in Sunderland, South Tyneside, and Gateshead. The schools we collaborate with offer aspiring teaching assistants the chance to work with students of various ages, including early years, primary, and secondary levels. Comprehensive training will be provided throughout the position. This specific school is seeking individuals who enjoy working with children across age groups, are comfortable with special needs, and are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on students' learning and development. While no prior experience is necessary, the school places emphasis on qualities such as commitment, passion, and dedication.
As a teaching assistant, you will be part of small class sizes ranging from 6 to 8 students per class. Your responsibilities will involve adhering to a prescribed curriculum that focuses on developing speech and language, teaching vocabulary, and enhancing comprehension through visual resources. Additionally, you will provide support in core subjects like numeracy and literacy, and contribute to creative lessons encompassing art, music, cooking, and sensory play.

1. Schedule: Monday to Friday
2. Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
3. Working with special needs such as autism, speech & language challenges, and learning difficulties
4. Engaging with students in a set class size of 6 to 8 students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
