About the Role
PJA is seeking a skilled Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to support the continued success of our Birmingham office, delivering drainage strategies and flood risk assessments for private and public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver flood risk assessments and preliminary drainage strategies to support local plan representations and outline planning applications.
* Develop detailed surface and foul water drainage strategies for full planning applications.
* Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities, and other statutory bodies.
* Conduct site investigations, data analysis, and report writing.
* Develop and implement drainage models, including Causeway Flow and Civils3D.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of experience in the drainage and flood risk sector in the UK.
* Familiarity with national planning policy and relevant legislation.
* Chartered status or working towards Chartered status (ICE/CIWEM) is advantageous.
