Cornwallis Academy is a ‘Good’ school on the outskirts of Loose, Maidstone with over 1300 students on roll aged 11 to 18. Cornwallis’ aim is to provide all students with the best educational provision.

You will be joining an incredibly well-resourced and highly successful department that has a relentless focus on raising attainment and fantastic numbers for post 16 courses. The post offers great opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for an innovative and ambitious teacher looking for career advancement. You would be managed on a day to day basis by the Director of English and would be supported by three Key Stage Managers for English. The successful candidate will be a creative and inspiring Teacher of English who will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* The ability to teach English across KS3 and KS4 confidently
* Experience of KS5 teaching is desirable
* Possess recent and relevant teaching experience
* Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire students
