Overall Job Purpose:
As a key member of the Maintenance Department, the role involves supporting the factory's production operations by working as part of a skilled technical team. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on both assembly and test equipment. In addition to this, the role includes installing production line equipment such as jigs, fixtures, and machinery, with a focus on optimising productivity, efficiency, quality, and reliability. All tasks are to be completed with a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Salary
£40,040 per annum
Shift Pattern - 2 shift rotation
Mornings - 6:00 - 14:00
Afternoons - Mon - Thurs: 14:00 - 23:00, Fri: 14:00-18:00

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain production line and bespoke equipment, following planned TPM schedules.
Monitor and manage critical spare parts stock
Perform high-quality, safe equipment repairs with adherence to LOTO procedures.
Support new product development through equipment installation, calibration, and workstation setup.
Troubleshoot issues across vision systems, pneumatics, and electrical systems including relay logic and soft/start drives.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on machinery and fixtures.
Assist with PLC-based fault finding and breakdown support (Beckhoff, Omron, Siemens), with a growing understanding of ladder logic.
Required Experience/ Skills:
Time served Electrical/Mechanical tradesman.
Hands on background of mechanical engineering, tooling, assembly etc.
Analytical and methodical approach to work.
Able to develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of maintenance and machine requirements.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving capability.
Able to interact and communicate effectively with staff from a variety of business functions.
