This is a full time, permanent position based at Highbury Hospital in Nottingham.
Some areas of Highbury Hospital form part of a significant long-term contract held between Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and a private organisation called Highbury Healthcare Ltd. The contract is referred to as Private Finance Initiative or PFI for short.
Under this contract the Facilities Services are sub-contracted to Aramark and although employment is with Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as an NHS employee, day-to-day management is seconded under the ‘Retained Staff Agreement’ of the PFI contract to Aramark.
We offer an attractive salary working Monday to Sunday following a rota with shifts from 06.30am until 14.30pm and 10.00am until 18.00pm. Enhancements are paid for overtime and weekend working.
Essential Criteria
1. City & Guilds 706 1/2 or equivalent (or working towards)
2. Basic food hygiene certificate (or working towards)
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing food for patients, visitors and staff.
2. Providing food for hospitality.
3. Meeting nutritional requirements and completing quality records as required.
4. Ensuring preparation of food is carried out in a safe and hygienic manner.
5. Managing a small team of catering assistants.
