Our client is currently seeking a Structures Project Engineer - Maintenance to manage Highway Structures within a specified geographic area. You will be contributing to the Structures Management Team, focusing on the maintenance and asset management of highway bridges, culverts, retaining walls, footbridges, landslips, and rock faces, in accordance with the Highway Infrastructure Asset Management Plan for Structures. Key Responsibilities: Managing highway structures in a designated area and ensuring their maintenance and safety Supervising teams including Senior Technicians, Technicians, External Resources, Inspection Assistants, Apprentices and Trainees Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with colleagues within Network Planning and other parts of the Highway Service/Department Supporting and advising Elected Members and Senior Managers Engaging with district and parish councils, local communities, and service users Collaborating with Police, emergency services, statutory undertakers & utilities, Highways England, and authorities Job Requirements: Experience in managing bridge and highway structures maintenance Understanding of asset management principles for highway structures Strong leadership and team management skills Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in supporting and advising senior management and elected officials If you are experienced in managing highway structures and are looking for a contractual opportunity to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.
