This role is accountable for providing a high quality, comprehensive service to all outpatients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment. The care provided will encompass social, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual. Undertaking practical procedures under the supervision of trained staff. Participating in the delivery of therapeutic interventions, to work alongside clinicians assisting / facilitating in the running of outpatient procedures and activities. Delivering services such as wound management and when appropriate cast/splints. Providing support with the management and ordering of stock and consumables required for the Outpatients department. Recognising the signs of abuse and know procedures they need to follow to escalate their concerns. Maintaining the dignity and wellbeing of individuals and their carers. Keep accurate records of interventions and care provided as and ensure all entries are validated on the patient administration system and medical records. To ensure that the department is in line with the Infection Control and Prevention and cleaning audits and protocols. Assisting with collating clinical audits of patient outcome data. Completing all core training requirements and other appropriate training courses, to maintain individual professional development. Reporting any observed incidence of unprofessional behaviour, accidents/incidents, untoward occurrences, or faulty equipment to the Line Manager To participate professionally in service development and proposed service changes. Comply with universal Infection Control precautions and procedures.
