The Role: Are you an experienced Small Animal RVN looking for the next step in your career? They're offering an exciting opportunity to join a large, supportive, and well-established nursing team in a busy, independent practice.
About the Role:
* This position is ideal for a passionate and self-motivated RVN who wants to work within a dynamic hospital environment alongside a dedicated Small Animal Team. You’ll focus on delivering the highest standard of patient care while being supported by an outstanding team of receptionists managing the front-of-house.
* As part of a close-knit team of 15 RVNs, 4 Student Nurses, and 5 Assistants, you’ll have access to a structured career pathway, training opportunities, and mentorship. Whether you’re newly qualified with at least one year of experience or an RVN with several years in practice, you’ll find an environment that fosters growth and development.
Working Pattern:
* This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) worked over 4 or 5 weekdays.
* Participation in the OOH weekend rota (1:6) is required. However, there are no mid-week night shifts as these are covered by a dedicated team of Night Nurses.
* OOH weekend shifts will be alongside the Night Vet.
* They understand that flexibility is important, so alternative working patterns are available, including fewer hours or weekends-only roles, to suit your circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering excellent nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment using state-of-the-art equipment.
* Participating in all aspects of nursing, including nurse clinics, surgical nursing (including anaesthesia), internal medicine, and emergency and critical care.
* Performing advanced nursing skills such as blood sampling, intubation, and IV catheter placement.
* Collaborating with the team to ensure each case is completed to the highest standards.

What They’re Looking For:
* A minimum of 1-year of qualified experience in a similar UK environment (3+ years preferred).
* Self-motivated, with strong use of initiative.
* A team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high standards of care.
* A UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
* IT literacy and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
