The post holder is responsible to the Community Librarian (Digital Inclusion) for the effective strategic development, management and review of the service-wide theme of digital learning and the efficient and effective management and operation of the Digital Learning services in the south area of the North Lanarkshire in accordance with NLC policies and procedures.
Key areas of work will include working in partnership with a range of colleagues to effectively develop, manage and co-ordinate all relevant thematic activities and resources within the designated area to achieve their maximum potential and effectiveness and bring forward recommendations as appropriate, effectively managing and co-ordinating all digital learning activities within the relevant area to achieve their maximum potential and effectiveness, and ensure that sound customer care practices are implemented, especially in relation to responsive and efficient public services.
The post holder will be required to support a wide range of digital needs and levels of ability utilising the latest technology including those in our Makerspace and Immersive Rooms.
You must hold an SVQ level 4 (HND, general degree or equivalent). You must have experience in dealing with the public, on a one-to-one basis and in groups, in a training environment, the ability to assist and deal with a range of ICT packages and platforms, including social media, good interpersonal skills and a high level of self-motivation and commitment to delivering a quality customer focussed service.
You will have staff supervisory experience, general library experience and the ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
The post holder will be required to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.
As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidate must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.
