Investigo are excited to be working with a client based in Edgware that is looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis.
Salary: Circa £28,000 to £30,000
Length: 6 month FTC
The Role
The Sales Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:
1. Maintaining sales ledger live accounts, achieving good credit control, with targets of outstanding debts of 60 days and debtors over 90 days at less than 5% of the total.
2. Processing payments, credit card payments, and reconciliation of cash books.
3. Processing customer invoices.
4. Maintaining accurate bank records and preparation of monthly reconciliations.
5. Maintaining good professional contact with external customers by dealing with queries in a timely manner.
6. Liaising with internal sales on all requests for new accounts, establishing credit limits for customers, resolving invoice queries, and raising credit notes.
7. Providing petty cash on a daily basis, processing petty cash vouchers postings to the purchase ledger, and reconciling the petty cash account.
8. Preparing monthly reconciliations of order intake and order books reports along with weekly and monthly sales and order book reporting.
9. Calculating monthly debtor days and cash targets for the following month.
10. Preparing yearly forms and dealing with Auditors/internal audit queries on a yearly basis.
Profile
Experience:
1. Experience within a similar role.
2. Good level of Excel - VLOOKUPs & pivot tables.
3. Experience working in credit control/sales ledger clerk.
