About the Role: This is a senior Retail marketing manager position, based in the the UK (London area), playing a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to support the UK&I sales team in retailer and distribution partnerships as well as new expanded verticals within the b2b2c / b2b sector that sell Norton and Avast software to consumers and small business. As part of the Partner Marketing Team within the Marketing, Brand and Communications (MBC) organization at Gen you will have a good understanding of the UK retail market, how to build campaigns that drive sales, brand awareness and product activation in the consumer and small-business Cyber Safety software market. In addition to supporting the UK&I team, this position will also help manage & streamline marketing operations for the broader European team. This is a full-time role. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution You will have the ability to plan, develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that support sales targets and business goals. You will need to collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their objectives and develop creative marketing campaigns tailored for each partner’s go-to-market. Campaign Management You will be responsible for the creation & management of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and in-store promotions. You will also leverage centrally created campaigns, adapting them where necessary to partner and market needs. Whatever the source of the campaign, you will need to ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines, are appropriate to the partners customer-base, and resonate with the target audience. For each campaign you will work with the sales team to analyse the planned RoI (return on investment), monitor and analyse the actual campaign performance. Retailer Collaboration Working with the individual partner sales managers, you will build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners. You will also manage the contracted partner enablement team who work within the partner’s retail estate day-to-day, training and selling with store staff. Budget Management You will be responsible for management, compliance and reporting on the distribution of marketing development funds to both retail and distribution partners. Your goal will be to ensure efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Having tracked and reported on marketing spend you will be expected to provide insights and recommendations for optimization to the UK&I team European Marketing Operations In addition to managing and reporting on the success of the UK MDF budget, you will also coordinate budget planning, approvals and reporting on the MDF budget of the other European countries, each of which has its own marketing team. You will work closely with the Sales, Marketing & Finance leaders to find efficiencies, streamlining processes and operations across the European org and Marketing best practices. Qualifications & Experience: The successful candidate should: Be experienced working with, or in, the retail market. Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing, the majority in partner / channel marketing. Have good business acumen and demonstrable skills interpreting data and campaign performance. Be a proactive individual who will develop and drive programs and reporting without regular oversight, and be a confident communicator Understand the needs of the partner sales team and be considered an invaluable member of the team. Be prepared to travel as needed in support of the partner sales team for meetings, events and enablement of partners Demonstrate a customer-centric approach to business practice The role will be remote to start with and become hybrid with a new office opening soon in London.
