What we are looking for The Electrical Manager at K&T Heating is integral to supporting the company growth within electrical compliance. This role is responsible for providing commercial insight, contributing to the business's objectives, and leveraging opportunities to expand the department scope and delivery. The employee will collaborate closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT), offering informed recommendations and strategies for successful implementation. The employee will also contribute to maintaining high-quality business practices and upholding K&T’s commitment to excellence. The role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical installation, and maintenance. Responsible for providing technical support, leadership, and training for engineers, communicating Company procedures and Client specific requirements to ensure a safe, effective, and compliant workflow. Core Responsibilities Take an active role in the management of Engineers, including recruitment and selection, staff inductions and the grievance and disciplinary process, ensuring that HR policies are followed. Ensure contractual requirements are delivered, maintaining records of site visits and Client meetings, ensuring the Company is always represented in a professional manner. Management of Engineers workload to ensure completion of duties both during normal working hours and through the 24/7 call out. Deliver action plans, to ensure timely work completion, at site where allocated resources have been unable to provide corrective repair. Communicate Company procedures and Client requirements to Engineers, daily and through Tool Box Talks. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring all health and safety requirements and legislation are met and adhered to. Liaise with the Head of Regions / Installation Managers and SHEQ Manager on training requirements and technical support for existing and future Engineers. Carry out Post Inspection Quality Checks, to pre-determined agreed target volumes, and provide reports for management to meet Client requirements and to identify future training and technical support needed. Liaise with the Senior Management within Installations / S&R / Renewables on future business to ensure adequate training and Engineer coverage. Any further duties as deemed necessary by K&T Heating Services Ltd. Manage EICR programs secured by K&T via direct and subcontracted labor. Adopt QS role for company NICEIC accreditation. Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. Build and maintain a strong pipeline to secure future profitable & sustainable growth. Requirements Possess relevant qualifications as a qualified electrician, which include: 18th Edition - IET Wiring Regulations, City & Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent City & Guilds test and Inspection (preferred) Proven experience (5 years) in a managerial or leadership role within the electrical sector, demonstrating a strong track record of strategic planning and implementation. Comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, regulations, and emerging trends in the electrical domain. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
