The role
If you are an engineer that is willing to work towards becoming an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, then we'd love to hear from you. We can train you in the electrical or mechanical side. The person and their potential are more important to us than your current experience. Our salary range is wide as we expect a wide range of experience and abilities; any offer would be made judged on these factors.
Main responsibilities and duties
* Fault-finding and diagnosis of rotating electrical machines (Motors, pumps, fans, etc.)
* Analysis of repair versus replace
* Carry out maintenance and repairs of rotating equipment
* Adherence to Health and Safety protocol
* Teaching provided for the refurbishment and rewinding of electric motors and generators
About you:
* A desire to know how things work
* Fault-finding, troubleshooting mindset
* Customers are a blessing, not a problem attitude
* Basic computer skills required
* Team player
Desired Profile
* Knowledge of rotating machinery and electrics would be useful but not essential
* UK Driving License
* Willingness to work outside of normal working hours if required (very rare)
* Recognised apprenticeship preferred
* Proven track record
* Excellent problem-solving abilities
* Strong attention to detail
* Effective communication and collaboration skills

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
* 8am to 5pm (lunch 1pm-2pm)
* Monday to Friday
* Future opportunity for overtime by attending call-outs
Experience:
* Engineering or electrical qualification
Work Location: In workshop with occasional site visits
