What the Role Involves As a Civil Parking Enforcement Officer, your day-to-day work will directly contribute to smoother traffic flow, safer roads, and cleaner public spaces. You will: Patrol a variety of areas across Cornwall, ensuring parking regulations are followed. Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) for parking violations. Enforce environmental laws by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) for issues like dog fouling, dogs on beaches and littering, as well as conducting abandoned vehicle checks (ABVs). Skills and Qualities We Are Looking For: To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Excellent communication and observational skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in any situation. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to following regulations. Ability to perform essential tasks, such as walking long distances and navigating varied terrains (e.g., beaches), with reasonable accommodations available as needed.
