About This Opportunity
You will oversee a team of Residential Support Workers to support the smooth management of Residential Children’s Home registered for four young people, and work in collaboration with a wide range of professionals to ensure the best support and outcomes for children and young people.
This will include identifying specific areas of support, supervising Residential Support Workers, ensuring the home is meeting the Children’s Home Regulations and being an inspiring role model to our young people.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidates for this role will have at least three years’ experience working in a residential setting for children and young people, supporting those with complex needs and challenging behaviours. We are also looking for people who have experience in a senior/managerial role and who can demonstrate motivational leadership skills. The right candidates will need to have the ability to evaluate, adapt, and resolve conflict and to promote equality, diversity and children’s rights.
An NVQ Level 4 or equivalent diploma 5 in children and young people care management (or the enrolment to complete the qualification within 2 years of appointment) is essential, as is the ability to travel independently.
