OFSTED Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

About Our Client:
We are recruiting on behalf of an established provider of children's residential services, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality care across the UK. Our client operates a 4-bed children's residential home in Wolverhampton, rated "Good" by OFSTED, specialising in supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This home is supported by a Deputy Manager, and we are seeking a talented and dedicated OFSTED Registered Manager to lead the team and oversee operations, ensuring exceptional care and compliance with regulatory standards.
The Role:
* Ensuring the home meets and exceeds OFSTED standards and regulations, maintaining a focus on the welfare, progress, and development of children.
* Leading and mentoring a dedicated team, including a Deputy Manager, providing supervision, training, and support to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Overseeing day-to-day operations, including care planning, safeguarding, risk assessments, and quality assurance, ensuring the home delivers high-quality, therapeutic care.
* Building strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, families, and other professionals, to support positive outcomes for children.
* Managing service development, budgets, and financial performance, ensuring the home operates efficiently and effectively.
* Acting as a positive role model for colleagues and children, developing trusting relationships that promote recovery, growth, and lasting change.
* Facilitating care-focused training to QCF Level 3, conducting performance reviews, appraisals, and organizing work patterns to ensure operational excellence.
* Implementing and monitoring action plans to maintain the home's "Good" OFSTED rating and strive for outstanding outcomes.
* Safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a children's residential setting at a senior level, ideally with knowledge of supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
* Achieved or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Management qualification).
* Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures, including The Children Act 1989 and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
* Experience managing budgets and financial performance within a care setting.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team.
* A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, with knowledge of relevant safeguarding procedures.
* Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children, acting as a positive role model.
* A clean Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to register with OFSTED as the Registered Manager.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties as required.
