Role Overview
The role of the Area Sales Manager - Controls & Heating Products will involve:
1. Field sales position, selling a manufactured range of controls and heating systems such as electric / hydronic towel rails, hydraulic radiators, thermostats, timers, heaters, and heating devices for both new build or refurbishment applications.
2. 60% of your time will be spent creating demand / generating specifications with social housing developers, councils, developers, housebuilders, and contractors.
3. The remaining 40% of your time will be spent selling to national builders merchants, regional builders merchants, plumbing and heating merchants, electrical wholesalers, and buying groups.
4. Once up and running, you will be targeted to turnover £1m.
5. This will predominantly be an account management position; however, you will be expected to generate some new business.
6. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Sales Director.
Ideal Applicant
The ideal applicant will have:
1. Experience working for or selling to plumbing & heating merchants / electrical wholesalers.
2. Experience selling related electrical / plumbing & heating building products such as heating controls, boilers, radiators, electrical controls, piping systems, or plumbing systems.
3. Ideally, an electrical heating / controls background (not essential).
4. Experience generating specifications with social housing developers, housebuilders, and contractors.
5. A background from a merchants route to market would be considered, but developer relationships are preferred.
6. An energetic self-starter capable of handling multiple tasks to deadlines.
7. A trustworthy and professional approach.
