I am working with a a special school dedicated to supporting pupils aged 4 to 19 with a diverse range of learning difficulties. We collaborate closely with local schools, hosting eight satellite classrooms at different school sites across Bournemouth and Poole. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs, supporting their academic and personal development in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs. Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities. Support students with physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Work closely with the class teacher to track student progress and implement individualized learning plans. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students’ growth and self-esteem. Help with general classroom duties, including preparing resources and assisting with classroom management. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting. A strong understanding of SEN and a commitment to supporting children with a range of learning difficulties. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
