We are a progressive educational institution committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Mentor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
1. Student Support:
Provide targeted support to students facing behavioral challenges, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic and social goals.Implement strategies to enhance student engagement, motivation, and self-esteem.
2. Behavioral Interventions:
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other support positive reinforcement and other evidence-based strategies to address challenging behaviors.
3. Crisis Management:
Effectively manage and de-escalate crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of students and closely with school staff and administration to address immediate concerns and prevent future incidents.
4. Collaboration:
Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to create a cohesive and integrated support system for students.Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on intervention strategies.
5. Data Collection and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student behavior, interventions implemented, and progress achieved.Prepare and submit regular reports on student behavior and intervention outcomes.
6. Professional Development:
Stay informed about best practices in behavior management and training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
7. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
8. Proven experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviors.
9. Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and positive behavior support.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with a diverse team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
