ICT Services is currently hiring for a Field Service Engineer to join our Team in the Derry area.
This is a 1-year contract initially, with an extension available.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide remote and desk side support services to end users.
2. Troubleshoot PC related problems either via phone, remote tools or desk side support.
3. Build, configure and troubleshoot PC and laptop applications and hardware components.
4. Be responsible for the day-to-day technical support and client environment.
5. Install and configure new client hardware using global standards.
6. Organize, schedule, communicate, and manage all logged calls across all support teams to anticipate any problems that may affect the business, aiming to keep all computer systems operating in full operational capacity.
7. Research and implement solutions in a timely manner for both software and hardware issues.
8. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in the network environment.
9. Provide client support through a series of actions, via either phone, email, or chat.
10. Prepare accurate and timely reports and document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
11. Make purchase orders for IT equipment to maintain stock levels and meet company requirements.
12. Ensure client satisfaction and provide an optimal level of customer service across various departments.
13. Liaise with remote workplace services colleagues to resolve client hardware issues.
14. Update asset tracking database based on additions and changes to hardware assignments.
15. Interface with local management team on hardware requirements for users and site.
16. Support printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
17. Be responsible for configuration and distribution of mobile phones.
18. Support mobile devices, such as iPads and iPhones.
Requirements:
1. Competence in desktop support with a minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of hardware and software support.
3. Basic knowledge of network infrastructure including patching/cabling.
4. Good problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to communicate clearly with customers and management.
