ROLE SUMMARY:
Inspired is continuing to grow in size and complexity and is looking to recruit for the position of Group Tax Manager to help support the business in its next stage of development. The role is an exciting opportunity to be part of an expanding team and get involved in a wide range of tax support from tax compliance and reporting, to transfer pricing, M&A and tax planning throughout the business.
The individual will be a key part of the Group Finance team and will liaise with senior stakeholders within the Group executive management team, Group Finance, UK and overseas finance teams.
This role is within a busy Head Office team working where demands vary from day to day, so flexibility of working practices and the ability to react to a variety of ad-hoc situations, either as part of a team or under your own initiative, are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Working with external tax advisors to establish, implement and maintain transfer pricing policy, documentation, benchmarking and interest charging position of the Group for all intercompany financing and management recharges.
2. Working to maintain Management Services Policy, documentation and benchmarking.
3. Preparation of transfer pricing files (Master File and Local Files) for all major territories.
4. Assist with tax enquiries and tax audits.
5. Support the business with practical tax advice (VAT, corporation tax, withholding tax).
6. Assist with governance and tax risk management initiatives.
7. Assist the Group Head of Tax with M&A, legal restructuring and entity rationalisations, cash repatriation, tax planning initiatives, international tax reforms.
8. Management of tax implications of intra group repatriation.
9. Providing of day-to-day tax technical advice to local finance teams.
10. Tax reporting and forecasting.
11. Review of half-year and annual tax reporting for the Group’s UK entities.
12. Reviewing tax reporting submissions by overseas territories for the purpose of year-end reporting.
13. Prepare/review tax disclosures notes for statutory financial statements of all UK entities.
14. Assist with the preparation of the tax forecasts for UK entities (annual budget and long range plans) and review tax forecasts of other territories.
15. Assist with implementation of tax reporting process improvements, tax technology implementation.
16. Work with overseas territories to understand their tax reporting and compliance processes, provide support and training.
17. Assist Group Head of Tax with Country-by-Country reporting and BEPs Pillar 2 reporting obligations.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
1. ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
2. Experience of corporation tax, international tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and employment taxes gained in a multinational group.
3. Experience of tax reporting software (preferably Alphatax).
4. Knowledge of tax controls and processes.
5. Strong Excel skills with experience of working with large Excel based financial models.
6. A proactive self-starter with drive, determination and commitment to get things done.
7. ‘Can do’ attitude with a willingness to solve problems and tackle new challenges.
8. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with the capacity to multi-task over several ongoing projects in a fast-paced, rapidly-growing environment.
9. Well organised and conscientious with good attention to detail.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
