Te Tūranga - The Role
As an Intermediate Software Engineer for our Application Development Team, you will contribute to the development of innovative software applications that operate across various devices, including Android, iOS, and Embedded Linux.
This role offers opportunities to grow your technical skills, your leadership skills (through opportunities to lead projects), to collaborate within a supportive team, and to make a tangible impact on Tait's product offerings.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing software applications for a range of devices, ensuring they meet user needs and company standards.
* Collaborating with architects, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to align with the product development strategy.
* Participating in key aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on learning and delivering high-quality solutions.
* Supporting system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between multiple components.
* Assist with testing strategies, including contributing to automated testing frameworks, to maintain product reliability.
* Supporting the product lifecycle by addressing customer feedback and contributing to improvements.
Ō pūkenga - About You
To be successful in this role you'll bring:
* 2-4 years of experience in developing software applications that operate on the internet across various devices (eg Android, iOS, Embedded Linux).
* Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++, C# or similar.
* Familiarity with developing applications in the cloud, SDLC practices and automated testing frameworks.
* A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to team success.
* Clear and effective communication skills to align with project goals and contribute to a positive team environment.
* A focuss on continuous improvement, including process enhancements and technical improvement as well as developing yourself.
* Experience with, or an interest in, frontend design would be an added bonus.
