Are you an experienced and dedicated Educational Psychologist looking for a new challenge? West Berkshire Council is seeking an Educational Psychologist to join our Education Services Service and make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in our community.
Reporting to the Senior Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality psychological services to schools and other educational settings. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting assessments and providing interventions to support the educational, emotional, and social development of children and young people.
2. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote inclusive practices and positive outcomes for learners.
3. Offering consultation and advice on a range of issues, such as behaviour management and special educational needs.
4. Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve educational provision.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:
5. Qualified and registered as an Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
6. Extensive experience in delivering psychological services within an educational context.
7. Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to apply a range of psychological theories and frameworks.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
9. A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
