Job summary Kingswood Health Centre is a team-orientated practice with approximately 13,100 patients on our list. Operated by 7 GP Partners and a Managing Partner, we also have a multidisciplinary team of salaried GPs, Paramedics, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacy team and First Contact Physio. Our amazing Nursing Team consists of 6 trained practice nurses, and currently 3 healthcare assistants. We are a caring supportive team, working to a very high standard of care. The Nursing Team is lead by our Senior Nurse, Rachel Simpson. Many of our staff have worked at Kingswood Health Centre for many years, and we are always ready to encourage new staff and their progression within their roles. We are looking to employ a new HCA to join us, working 15 hours. The hours and days are negotiable but need to include a Monday.Generally, shift patterns are the same for each staff member on a weekly basis, with some flexibility if needed. Main duties of the job The healthcare assistant is a member of the team appointed to support the other surgery clinicians in the delivery of patient care. The role involves contact on a physical and psychological level with patients and their families. The post holder will undertake a range of activities under the supervision of a registered nurse, having been assessed and deemed competent in the activities required.
