Buyer - Construction - Leading FTSE250 Infrastructure Organisation
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus bonus and package
Location: Hybrid working with offices in Glasgow or Edinburgh

Due to continued investment in their high-performing procurement function, they are seeking a commercially astute Buyer to support substation projects as part of a major framework agreement.

Your Role:
* Develop and manage procurement strategies for critical substation projects across Scotland.
* Shape procurement schedules and ensure seamless material supply for complex infrastructure works.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while building strong supplier partnerships.
* Lead competitive tender processes, analyse quotations, and negotiate optimal terms.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence procurement decision-making and drive efficiencies.
* Monitor the supply market to identify innovative solutions and emerging suppliers.
What You Need to Succeed:
* Procurement experience within utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of supplier negotiation and contract optimisation.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to manage procurement data and schedules effectively.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach with the ability to drive value across procurement processes.
